Information Display & Micro-Plasma Laboratory was established in 2005 at the school of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science in KAIST, and launched Engineering Research Center(ERC) Program in 2007.
The IDMP Lab. has focused on information display devices, display driving schemes, and micro-plasma applications for luminescence devices and sub-wavelength optics. In the field of information displays, IDMP Lab has concentrated on novel pixel design, phenomena in display pixels, and driving schemes for LCD BLU, PDP, and OLED. Furthermore, IDMP Lab is now focusing on new flexible photo-luminescent displays. In the field of micro-plasma and plasmonics, numerical analysis for OLED, PDP, and other devices are being studied at IDMP Lab. In addition, new approaches using surface plasmonic resonance are recently being studied.
